At North Iowa Christian School we are partnering with parents to raise dedicated disciples. This means your student’s education will supplement what you are seeking to do in your home and what you are hoping to find in your church. Our vision is to lead students to faith in Jesus Christ and develop them into people molded by a Christian worldview. This will enable them to participate in their homes, churches and society as models of faith.
It is not ironic that our secular world, with its tireless attempts to unify itself without a transcendent framework, has left those in its grip more fragmented than ever. As Christian educators we believe the Scriptures provide a coherent and cohesive set of answers to the fundamental questions of life. Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? As such, they are the legitimate foundation for all true learning. By instilling a biblical worldview in our students they will know their intrinsic worth and eternal purpose, and they will possess the proper ground upon which they can build a life worth living.
Distinctly Christian education is never devoid of the relationship between teacher and student. Our teachers are not only educators for the sake of intellectual growth, but role models for the sake of character formation. We invest in your student’s life. Intentional relationships are a primary backbone of discipleship. Only then can the information taught in class be appropriated in the lived-experience by your student. If Jesus is a primary example for effective Christian education, then his model had at its foundation the teacher-student relationship. This process can begin as early as the first day of Kindergarten, or as late as the middle of 12th grade. What is most important is not when it begins, but that it begins.
As a parent, you cannot make a greater investment in your child than giving them a Christ-centered education. It will form their character, shape their values, influence their dreams, and ignite their passion. More than this, your student will be surrounded by an environment fundamentally geared towards maturing him/her. The environment at NICS will afford your student the safety from being exposed to elements of this sinful world that might stain his/her conscience in his/her vulnerable youth. Yet, it will also intentionally expose him/her to the brokenness of this world at the appropriate stage of development so as to inspire courage, conviction, and calling. An investment like this is one you will never regret, and your child will look back upon with increasing gratitude as he/she ventures further on the spiritual journey.
NICS is accredited through Christian Schools International (CSI) for all grades (K-12).
