Life Statement:
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the LORD!" Psalm 27:13-14
Bio:
I grew up in Spokane, Washington, in a Christian home, the third of five siblings. The value of Christian education was instilled into me from an early age. My dad sacrificed tremendously to make sure he put all of us kids through Christian school. I graduated in 2003, and married my husband, Allen, in 2004. Before kids, I was a full-time nanny, a martial arts school owner and instructor, and worked in various office settings. After I had my first baby, I was a stay-home mom for about ten years, living and travelling across the country, including Iowa, in order to stay together as a family while my husband traveled for work. In 2023, our journey brought us back to Iowa, where we now hope to find stability and a sense of home for our family.
My hobbies include drawing and painting (which I am so excited to get to share with the students at NICS!), playing and writing music on piano, and spending lots of time outdoors. My three children, Alena, William, and Troy, are students at the school as well. I truly enjoy the sense of community I've found at NICS, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to get to know all the students and families better in the coming year!
